The Zonta Club of Columbus

This is our mission.

Our local chapter was founded in 1929 and as a member of Zonta International (founded in 1919), we are dedicated to improving the lives of women locally and globally through service, advocacy, education, and fundraising efforts. This same spirit of service and advocacy is shared by 27,000 members representing clubs in 62 countries – all focused on improving the status of women. Fighting to improve women’s lives by working to combat women’s issues such as human trafficking, violence against women and providing educational scholarships for women.
 
Our fundraising efforts support our local service projects at organization such as, Maryhaven Women’s Programs, Choices, Sanctuary Night, CRIS and local food pantries to name a few. Additionally, the Zonta Club of Columbus sponsors a Z Club at Columbus Metro High School to guide students in their development leadership skills, and participation in community service projects.
 
The Zonta Club of Columbus supports women seeking to further their education through a Non Traditional Scholarship program with Ohio Domican University (ODU), the Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship, the Outstanding Young Women in Public Affairs Award, and the Zonta International Amelia Earhart Fellowship.

We are grateful for the invaluable volunteer service of The Zonta Club of Columbus. Their efforts help turn empty houses into homes for families impacted by poverty and struggling with severe life challenges.
