Secret Santa Shopping Party for Children @ Amethyst - Come Join the Fun!
We have started planning for this event sponsored by our Amethyst Service Committee.
The date is set for Wednesday, December 7th, 5:30-7:30 pm, at the Jefferson Place Apartments. We will invite all the children of the women involved in Amethyst to join us for an evening of fun, including: selecting a gift in our Secret Santa shop to give to their Mother, and any siblings they have, for Christmas, taking their gift(s) to the wrapping station for pretty-ing up, participating in a holiday craft & enjoying snacks, drinks & games.
If you want to get in the Christmas spirit, here’s your chance!
We would love any donations of gifts in the $10-$20 range, for moms. Moms range in approximate age from 20 to 40 (more in the younger range), and live modestly. Any gifts would be a real treat. Think of what would be a welcome surprise to make their holidays special. Our committee is considering things like jewelry, household items, holiday goodies baskets, decorative items, wardrobe enhancers (not clothing, too hard with sizing). And no candles – fire hazard.
If you happen to see a great sale on wrapping/tissue paper/bags/ribbons and bows, we would love to have any of these things donated as well. While this is a project sponsored by our Club, and we have a budget for expenses, any donations allow us to make this an extra-special event.
We would like to get a jump on this since the holidays come so fast and keep us all so busy. If you are willing to donate, please bring any items to the OCTOBER dinner meeting OR contact Kathy Ryan to arrange for donation pick-up. Having items this far in advance will really help us with our planning.
