The outcome of proposed directions for the 2012-2014 biennium is very powerful as planning for the generation of resources and their use will get underway. Each voice does make a difference in advancing the status of women through service and advocacy. The Strategy Session on Saturday, January 21 was an example of how input does make a difference in the direction we follow in advancing Zonta's mission.
As the Club reflects on the 2010-2012 biennium, outcomes reflected in the Annual Report will provide important direction to the Strategic Directions for 2012-2014. There are some exciting new proposals about how we do our work and what are the opportunities we want to pursue in our community.
The future is ripe with opportunities. The Zonta Club of Columbus is 83 years old - celebrating Founder's Day on February 9. The six women who started the Club thought there was benefit to be derived from coming together to serve one's community and provide resources as well to Zonta International for work in the world. They found time to commit to membership and over the years a proud record of service to the Columbus community has been generated. It has evolved according to needs and the diverse passions of the members who realized they could make a difference through the Zonta Club of Columbus.
